Our Approach
PAC’s approach has been to build ‘coalitions of the willing’ around projects that are a clear necessity for transforming Pakistan’s agriculture sector but require an institution to ‘connect the dots’. The touchstones of PAC’s interventions are: each effort must be private sector-led (demand-driven and demonstrated by participation and/or contributions from stakeholders); key stakeholders from across the value chain must be on board right from the design stage; to ensure sustainability, projects must be designed on a sound commercial logic, where possible, secure international expertise and match it with domestic implementation capability.

PAC’s flagship project are public benefit projects with multiple stakeholders. In each effort, PAC serves as a neutral body that has the confidence of stakeholders, access to international expertise and the ability to bring together each stakeholders to achieve an objective.

PAC’s sponsors have a cumulative turnover of over $10 billion and have superior technical and business expertise in agriculture-related sectors. This allows PAC unique power to bring together different stakeholders and provide leadership for the envisaged transformation. PAC has forged strong partnerships with leading farmer organizations such as Farmers Associates Pakistan, Sindh Abadgar Board, Sindh Chamber of Agriculture among others. With its strong links with key stakeholders, PAC is uniquely placed to unite different stakeholders for a common objective.

Our Projects
Organized Financial Inclusion for Farmers: Crop Insurance
PAC has led the development of a robust crop insurance model with the participation of local and international insurance and insuretech firms.
Sustainable and Traceable Cotton Cultivation
This initiative aimed to produce low-trash, high-quality cotton through large-scale, mechanized cultivation with full traceability and sustainable farming practices.
Electronic Warehouse Receipts Financing
PAC has spearheaded the electronic warehouse receipts (EWR) regime in Pakistan under which Naymat Collateral Management Company is the enabling entity.
Farm Mechanization
This program promotes the service provider model for farm mechanization services to be given to farmers.
Pakistan Agricultural Coalition’s Agri-Connections
This annual conference and expo brings together leaders from business, finance, farming, government, and donor agencies to set actionable agendas. The event showcases projects, facilitates dialogue, and connects investors, farmers, startups, and officials, driving transformation in Pakistan’s agriculture sector.
