Pakistan Agricultural Coalition (PAC) CEO Kazim Saeed spoke at The Air We Breathe Conference on Saturday, October 11, at the Lahore Expo Centre, organized by Breathe Pakistan.
In the session “The Smog Equation,” he highlighted how the unavailability of rice harvesters forces farmers to use wheat harvesters — a practice that leaves rice stubble behind, which is later burned. This contributes to smog, unfairly painting farmers as the villains in a systemic issue that needs technological and policy solutions.
